Ajax, Ontario has one Immigrant Welcome Centre serving the region, provided by United Way, Durham. The Ajax Welcome Centre is intended as the “one stop shop” for any newcomers in Ajax or the surrounding area (Durham Region) who need any of the following services:
- Settlement and Orientation Services:

- basic needs.

In order to use the services at the Ajax Welcome Centre you must be a resident of Durham Region. The Ajax Welcome Centre is easily accessible from Pickering and Whitby as well.

The Welcome Centre in Ajax only provides legal services under very specific circumstances: you must be able to prove you cannot afford legal services. Professional legal assistance with your IRCC application can be provided by a Regulated Immigration Consultant (RCIC) or Lawyer. Maxcan Immigration employs RCIC Mary Zhang. Our offices are located in Markham at 7030 Woodbine Avenue, which is only a 20-25 minute drive from the Ajax Welcome Centre.
